Polarimetric Analysis Service

More than half of the drug and most of biopharmaceuticals are chiral molecules. Most isomer drugs exhibit notable differences in biological activities, such as pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, metabolism etc. It is important to promote the chiral separation and analysis of drugs. Chiral molecules (enantiomers) exhibit optical activity. The optical activity of an enantiomer is determined by a polarimeter or by optical rotary dispersion and circular dichroism. When measured with a polarimeter, the polaried light will rotate either to the left (classified as levorotary, l-isomer) or to the right (classified as dextrorotary, d-isomer) when passed through these molecules.

Polarimetric Analysis Service

Enantiomers are characterized by their property to rotate the plane of linear polarized light. Under certain conditions, the ratio, the purity, and the concentration of chiral biopharmaceutical can be measured via polarimetry.

Creative Proteomics offers a fast and reproducible polarimetric analysis of your pharmaceuticals. Scientists from Creative Proteomics are experienced in chiral molecules determination and may provide assistance for biopharmaceuticals analysis.
