We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced bioinformatician to be responsible for supporting next-generation sequencing (NGS) and third-generation sequencing (long-read sequencing) projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in bioinformatics, genetics, statistics, computer science, or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of NGS and/or long-read sequencing.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl.
- Proficient in common sequencing product processes such as genome and transcriptome, and experience in data analysis of sequencing projects independently is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analysis capabilities.
- Able to work under stress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experimental design and data analysis related to high-throughput sequencing.
- Establish and optimize standard operating procedures for bioinformatics analyses as well as develop and implement new quality control (QC) measures and algorithms in the process or analysis.
- Collate and write project reports.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales services for products and technical services.
- Other job functions as assigned.
