Metabolomics is an analytical profiling technique for the study of metabolic changes in complex organisms. Based on robust analytical platforms, such as mass spectrometry (MS) combined with separation techniques and bioinformatics, metabolomics can offer information on the metabolites altered or produced in biological organisms. As an international contract research organization (CRO), Creative Proteomics is committed to offering innovative services. We continue to improve our existing resources and expand our services to help our global customers accelerate their research and support their projects. Here, we are dedicated to providing targeted metabolomics analysis for virus infections.
The power of metabolomics lies in its ability to identify endogenous and exogenous metabolites in biologically complex samples, measure their concentrations, and identify disturbances in biochemical pathways associated with qualitative and quantitative metabolic changes. Metabolomics approaches include targeted and untargeted quantitative metabonomics analysis. Untargeted metabonomics analysis is a relatively quantitative process that maximizes information about metabolites from a complex biological matrix without bias. While targeted quantitative metabolomics focuses on the detection of specific metabolites associated with certain detailed categories or metabolic pathways via standard curves.

Our targeted metabolomics analysis is sensitive, specific, and quantitative. Based on ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) system and comparison to internal standards, we are able to detect and analyze specific metabolites in a targeted manner. Before sample preparation and measurement, stock calibration solutions will be prepared with the accurately weighed standards in an appropriate solution.
We are dedicated to revealing the relation between metabolomics investigation and virus infection. Our services can facilitate customers' perspectives for such conditions providing typical fingerprints related to the infection. We focus on a series of small molecule metabolites involved in various metabolism pathways, such as nitrogen metabolism, fatty acid (FA) metabolism, nucleotide and amino acid metabolism, TCA cycle, and bile acid metabolism, but not limited to them.
Targeted metabolomics approaches are applied to determine global changes in host cellular metabolism during virus infection, revealing the metabolic trends of different stages of host cells. The analysis of the altered metabolites has the potential to discover new biomarkers that provide insight into the mechanisms of viral disease and the possibility of early intervention. Creative Proteomics is committed to providing high-quality service to greatly accelerate our customers' project progress and success. Our services can be highly customized according to customer requirements. For more information on how we can help you, please feel free to contact us.
